Release Heal Renew Program at Living Life Pilates | 21st January - 11th February 2020  

Release Heal Renew program has been designed to help you learn how to use Tension & Trauma Release Exercises® (TRE®) for yourself in a safe and effective manner. The main aim is to teach you how to self-regulate the tremoring experience, while the body is letting go of the unconsciously held stress, tension, and past trauma during deepening of the TRE® process. That way you will be able to safely use TRE® to relieve stress related symptoms, accelerate physical and emotional healing, boost the immune system, and to improve flexibility and mobility for all sport related activities; yoga, pilates, running, cycling, swimming etc. You will also learn how to use TRE® as a meditation method that cultivates compassion, acceptance, forgiveness and inner sense of peace. 

 

Release Heal Renew program will be held at Living Life Pilates in Sea Point and will be facilitated by Metka Zurman a life coach, Advanced Tension & Trauma Release Exercise® Provider, TRE® Mentor and Retreats Facilitator.

Tension & Trauma Release Exercise® Workshop | Saturday 14th December |  8:30 - 10:30 

Discover an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, chronic tension and past trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, TRE® safely activates a natural and inherent reflex mechanism in the body of shaking/tremoring ( neurogenic tremors ) that are gentle, safe and generally feel pleasant and soothing. They generate in the pelvic area of the Psoas muscles and reverberate outward along the spine, releasing the accumulation of muscular tension generated during intense exercise, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, difficult life circumstances or past traumatic life experiences. They turn off the stress response, trigger the relaxation response, and return the body to it's natural state of rest - so it can do what it does best - restore and heal itself. After a TRE® session, most people report feelings of peace, relaxation, calm and inner well-being. 

 

TRE® method is learnt as a self-administered process that can relieve chronic muscle tension, unexplained aches and pains, insomnia, stomach pains, irritability, anxiety, anger, lack of concentration, tension headaches and various other, stress or trauma related symptoms. TRE® is effective and easy to learn.

The Healing Circle Workshop | Women Only | Sunday, December 14th 2019 | 11:00 - 13:30 | Constantia

Healing and wellbeing that emanates from drumming is an ancient practice that uses drumming rhythms to promote healing and self-expression. Therapeutic rhythm techniques have been used for thousands of years by shamans of Mongolia to the Minianka healers of West Africa, to create and maintain physical, mental, and spiritual health. And the current medical research is now strongly verifying what they have known for years - that ancient rhythm techniques tap into the layers of the body and mind that other modalities cannot. 

 

During this workshop we will play simple rhythms on West African Djembe that release stress and unblock stuck energy, create clarity and flow in the body and cultivate joy, calm and wellbeing. We will gather as a women tribe drawn to experimenting with natural and ancient resources that accelerate health from deep within and connect us on a very deep level. When we come together in The Healing Circle that vibrates with our collective energy, vitality, emotion, pain, exhilaration, hope, sensitivity, giving, sharing and unity, we can begin to trust, let go, release and become whole again.

No experience required. Drums will be provided. Suitable for women interested in strengthening physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. For those who think they have no musical ability or sense of rhythm, if you have a heart beat you have rhythm. Everyone will be able to play with ease.
